OMB hearing on Oakville's Glen Abbey Golf Course starts Monday
24 January 2017
Hearing is on Interim Control By-law, not application
As the Town of Oakville and ClubLink prepare to head to the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) Monday (Jan. 30) over the proposed development of Glen Abbey Golf Course (GAGC), Town Council was given an update on the situation Monday (Jan. 23).
Town staff and the Town’s legal counsel were at a special council meeting at Town Hall to update councillors, and many residents who attended, on the current status of ClubLink’s appeals. It is appealing both the Town’s interim control bylaw and its decision to deem the application to develop Glen Abbey Golf Course as incomplete. Both appeals are headed to the OMB for separate hearings.
